Empowering Girls in Tech – The Starting Six

From October 20–23, 2025, IndeedWeCode partnered with Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy (HFCA) in Milwaukee to host the Empowering Girls in Tech Mini-Camp—the first IWC mini-camp held outside Cleveland, Ohio.

Meet The Starting Six, HFCA’s first cohort to complete this immersive coding experience.

 A Full-Circle Moment in Mentorship

Hear from Dr. Howard Fuller on why this mini-camp is a full-circle moment, bridging decades of mentorship and opportunity for Black girls in tech.

Alumni Giving Back – Corin Manning

Corin Manning, IWC alumna and member of the original 2015 IWC cohort, returned as a Rockwell Software Engineer and Rockwell Cheerleader to mentor the new generation. She also recruited her team to support the mini-camp, showing how mentorship can come full circle.

Thank You for Making IWC Summer Camp 2025 Unforgettable

Because of every camper, mentor, cheerleader, and partner—we did that!

This summer, Black girls in grades 7–12 explored the power of tech, created real-world projects, toured Amazon’s Fulfillment Center, and gained confidence surrounded by people who believe in them.

From big ideas on Demo Day to unforgettable moments in camp classrooms, it’s clear: when Black girls code, they change everything.
